Summer 2020 Exploration-Welding

Discover what it's like to be Welder! You will participate in hands-on projects to give you a real feel for whether this career is the right one for you. This exploratory program is designed for the student who is thinking about a career in the skilled trades. Your instructor is a licensed and/or certified professional with the ability to introduce you to basic welding theory and the latest technology.

 

You will learn about the educational requirements and personal qualities for a job as a welder, receiving advice on steps you could take soon or now to prepare and position yourself for a successful and lucrative career in the field of Skilled Trades. 

NOTE: Personal protection equipment provided (helmet, gloves, jacket, safety glasses. Students must wear appropriate closed-toe footwear and jeans/flame retardent pants.
